Somehow, Mike Trout continues to get better.

The Los Angeles Angels star center fielder had a remarkable night Saturday in the Bronx against the New York Yankees, establishing new career highs in hits (5), extra-base hits (4), doubles (3), and total bases (11). He finished the night 5-for-5 with three runs and four RBIs, leading the Angels to the 11-4 win.

Trout hit an RBI double in the first inning, doubled again in the third, hit a two-run homer in the fourth, picked up an RBI double in the sixth, and beat out an infield single in the seventh. It was the third straight game in which Trout has homered, and helped him move into a tie with Boston Red Sox outfielder Mookie Betts for the league lead with 17.

"It's up there for sure," Trout said when asked where this game ranks among his best. "I just felt I got a pitch to hit and am not missing it. It was a good game for me."

The two-time MVP joined Roy Howell as the only two players in MLB history to record a five-hit game with at least three runs scored, four extra-base hits, and four RBIs against the Yankees, according to StatsCentre. He's also the first visiting center fielder to ever collect four extra-base hits in a game at Yankee Stadium, per Stats.

Since ending an 0-for-21 streak on May 17, Trout is 11-for-24 (.458) with five home runs, four doubles, and five strikeouts.
