Keep it in the family.

In an inter-league matchup between the San Francisco Giants and Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park on Tuesday, Brandon Crawford hit an opposite-field homer against Gerrit Cole. An otherwise unexceptional dinger was anything but, though, as Cole's wife, Amy, happens to be Crawford's sister.

"Obviously not thrilled about it but not terribly disappointed about it either," Cole told reporters of Crawford's shot following the game, according to Brian McTaggart of MLB.com.

Immediately before giving his brother-in-law props, though, Cole fondly recalled a time when he bested Crawford while on the Pittsburgh Pirates.

"He hit one really good in Pittsburgh, I'm not sure how many years ago it was. Really deep, left-center, which is a hard place to hit it out and (Starling) Marte robbed him. So he was already kind of in the red there, already minus one."

To their credit, Crawford's father and sister were in the stands to watch the game, and appeared to keep their emotions under control during the home run, aside from perhaps one moment:

Of course, even if Crawford bested his brother-in-law, Cole earned the last laugh, allowing two total runs over six innings in the Astros' victory.
