The New York Yankees torched the Minnesota Twins' pitching staff Monday.
Tyler Austin, however, picked on center fielder Ryan LaMarre.
Unsatisfied with his team's 11-run cushion in the bottom of the eighth inning, Austin smoked a two-run homer off LaMarre - thrust into emergency relief duty to spare his club's bullpen - to extend the Yankees' lead to 14-1.
For LaMarre, it was just the second pitching appearance of his career. His only previous outing came on July 2, 2016, when he threw a scoreless inning for the Boston Red Sox in a 21-2 loss to the Los Angeles Angels.
