It will be Sale and Scherzer part 2 on Tuesday.

Washington Nationals ace Max Scherzer and Boston Red Sox left-hander Chris Sale were announced on Monday as the starting pitchers for the 2018 MLB All-Star Game.

The two also started in the Midsummer Classic last season.

National League manager Dave Roberts said he broke the tie between Scherzer and Jacob deGrom of the New York Mets - who arguably had a better first half - so that the former can start in front of his home crowd, according to Tyler Kepner of the New York Times.

DeGrom will follow Scherzer, according to Roberts.

On the AL side, Sale will be followed by Luis Severino of the New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Rays southpaw Blake Snell, according to manager A.J. Hinch, per MLB.com's Mark Feinsand.

The 33-year-old Scherzer is second in baseball behind Sale with 182 strikeouts and is 12-5 with a 2.41 ERA.

Sale, 29, owns a 10-4 record with a 2.23 ERA, and he leads MLB with 188 strikeouts in 129 innings.
