The Atlanta Braves will save a little bit of money in 2018 after winning their arbitration hearing over starter Mike Foltynewicz.
The right-hander will be paid $2.2 million, as opposed to the $2.3 million he requested, according to Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports. The $100,000 difference was the smallest of any arbitration hearing this winter.
Foltynewicz went 10-13 with a 4.79 ERA, 1.48 WHIP, and 143 strikeouts in a career-high 154 innings last season.
