The Seattle Mariners announced Thursday that they've declined the 2018 club options on pitchers Hisashi Iwakuma and Yovani Gallardo.
Iwakuma's option was for $10 million with a $1-million buyout, while Gallardo's option was for $13 million with a $2-million buyout.
The 36-year-old Iwakuma only made six starts for the Mariners in 2017 after undergoing an arthroscopic debridement on his damaged right shoulder.
He spent six seasons with Seattle, amassing a 63-39 record with a 3.42 ERA during 150 games (136 starts).
Gallardo was acquired in a trade from the Baltimore Orioles before the 2017 season began. He made 28 appearances - 22 starts - for the Mariners, going 5-10 with a 5.72 ERA and 1.52 WHIP.
