Altuve breaks up Tanaka's no-hitter en route to early Game 1 lead

Jose Altuve may have said the American League MVP award belonged to Aaron Judge, but the Houston Astros second baseman certainly looked like he was deserving in the American League Championship Series on Friday.

After the 27-year-old made a sensational grab to rob New York Yankees hitter Didi Gregorius of what looked to be a sure base hit, Altuve sparked the Astros' offense in the fourth inning.

Altuve recorded the first hit of the contest against Masahiro Tanaka, stole second base, and came around to score on a Carlos Correa single.

Correa would then come around to score on a Yuli Gurriel single, giving the Astros and starter Dallas Keuchel a 2-0 lead.
