Jose Bautista was removed from the game early for a second straight night Monday.
This time, however, he did so much less ceremoniously.
The Toronto Blue Jays outfielder, who exited to a standing ovation in what was likely his final home game at Rogers Centre on Sunday, was tossed from Monday's game after arguing a called strike three.
With a 3-2 count, Boston Red Sox reliever Carson Smith froze Bautista on a 85-mph slider up in the zone. Bautista began motioning to first base thinking he'd picked up a walk, but home-plate umpire Chad Fairchild called strike three. Bautista protested the call and was quickly ejected from the game.
