In the second game of Saturday's New York Mets-Houston Astros doubleheader, Wilmer Flores swung at a 2-2 pitch, but got under it, thrusting it into his nose.

After going to the hospital for X-rays, the Mets third baseman was diagnosed with a broken nose, according to MLB.com's Anthony DiComo.

It was an unfortunate nightcap for Flores, who was one of the team's lone bright spots in the first game, drilling a grand slam to make things interesting before the Mets ultimately lost 12-8.
