We are not worthy, Javier Baez.
For his latest act of simply insane infield defense, the Chicago Cubs shortstop went with an incredible diving stab deep in the hole to steal a potential rally-starting base hit away from the Blue Jays' Jose Bautista in the ninth inning Friday. Not only did he execute the dive to perfection, but Baez gracefully flew to his feet and got Bautista at first base with plenty of time to spare.
At this point, maybe they should just cancel the voting and give Baez the Gold Glove before tomorrow's game.
