Ichiro Suzuki is still adding to his surefire Hall of Fame resume.
The Miami Marlins' iconic outfielder slapped a pinch-hit, eighth-inning single to the gap in right-center field Friday off Atlanta Braves pitcher Jim Johnson for the 3,061st hit of his career. That nudged him past Houston Astros legend Craig Biggio for 22nd in hits all time.
Ichiro could be eyeing a spot in the top 20 by the end of the season. In his way are both Dave Winfield and Alex Rodriguez, who smacked 3,110 and 3,115 hits in their careers, respectively.
