The Toronto Blue Jays looked down and out in the ninth Wednesday against the Oakland Athletics, having failed to score a run all game and trailing 2-0.
It took all of two hits for them to emerge victorious.
After third baseman Josh Donaldson led off the inning with a walk, first baseman Justin Smoak immediately brought him home in the next at-bat by drilling a moonshot to the second deck in right field at the Rogers Centre.
Toronto didn't even get a chance to celebrate Smoak's home run, though, as on the very next pitch, slugger Kendrys Morales cranked his own right-field bomb to help the Blue Jays walk off the Athletics.
According to Sportsnet's Hazel Mae, it's the first time the Blue Jays have hit a game-tying home run followed by a game-winning home run since June 14, 1986.
