Fuming Ron Darling questions Mets' training after Gsellman injury
Just another day in the lives of the New York Mets.
On Tuesday, the Mets saw another one of its players suffer an injury when right-hander Robert Gsellman was forced to leave the game after hurting his hamstring while trying to beat out a grounder.
The injury almost immediately had former Mets hurler and current broadcaster Ron Darling fuming at the ears.

"(These) trainers, get them in a room with some of the old trainers and people that took care of baseball players and how to keep them healthy," Darling said in the broadcast booth during the contest. "And get them in a room and try to tap into their knowledge on how you train baseball players - not weightlifters, not six-pack wearers - baseball players.
"They're doing a disservice to their million-dollar athletes that they're paying. It's a joke to watch this happen each and every night."
Gsellman added his name to a long list of injured Mets, which includes 10 others. Noah Syndergaard, Matt Harvey, Jeurys Familia, Neil Walker, David Wright, and Zack Wheeler are among those who are on the disabled list.
A total of 16 Mets players have already hit the DL this season, according to spotrac.
