Boston Red Sox manager John Farrell has been fined and suspended one game by Major League Baseball for his actions during an argument with umpire Bill Miller this past Saturday.
Farrell was livid after pitcher Fernando Abad was called for a balk against the Los Angeles Angels on Saturday and took out his frustrations on Miller during a heated nose-to-nose argument.
Farrell will serve the suspension Tuesday when the Red Sox host the Minnesota Twins at Fenway Park, and bench coach Gary DiSarcina will handle managerial duties in his stead, according to Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe.
