An umpire's best friend.
During Monday's game between Class-A's Fort Wayne TinCaps (affiliate of the San Diego Padres) and the South Bend Cubs (part of the Chicago Cubs system), an adorable golden retriever named Jake the Diamond Dog put his obedience skills on display.
Instead of the umpires getting their water from ball boys, Jake kept the umps hydrated using a small basket filled with bottles of that fresh H20.
This isn't Jake's first time lending a helping paw, however, as the golden retriever has made rounds across the minors for some time, and here's hoping he continues to do so for a long time.
