Milwaukee Brewers general manager David Stearns wants to know who's running the Chicago Cubs' meteorology department.

The Brewers were all set to face the Cubs at Wrigley Field on Saturday, though the home side called for the game to be postponed due to bad weather in the Windy City. Stearns, however, took exception to how fast the Cubs called the contest off when the weather in Chicago cleared up immediately following the postponement.

"Clearly, the Cubs were looking at a weather forecast that made them think it was going to rain," Stearns told Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "Our weather forecast did not indicate that. I think there were five or seven other forecasts that also did not indicate that.

"Ultimately, it’s the Cubs' call ... That's one of the earliest games I've ever been involved with that was called. That surprised me a little bit."

The meeting between the two sides was later rescheduled to July 6 at 1:20 p.m. CT (2:20 p.m. ET), though Brewers manager Craig Counsell joked there was more than enough sunny weather to get a game underway Saturday.

"First time, for us, that we've had players treated for sunburn after a rainout," Counsell said, according to Haudricourt.
