Jalen Jeter-Martin wants to grow up to be exactly like Uncle Derek, number and all.
Who wouldn't?
The adorable 5-year-old was in attendance on Sunday in New York to take in Jeter's jersey retirement ceremony, but that didn't stop him from checking to see if he could someday wear his uncle's iconic No. 2.
As uncle's tend to do, Jeter tells Jalen that of course he can't wear it. Noticing he's broken poor Jalen's hopes and dreams, he changes his mind, reassuring his nephew that he'll make an exception.
If Jalen grows up to be anything like his uncle, oh boy.
