Watch: Dodgers induct Scully into Ring of Honor
The Los Angeles Dodgers needed to take care of one last order of business to complete Vin Scully's remarkable career.
The legendary broadcaster, who retired last October after calling Dodger games in both Brooklyn and Los Angeles for 67 consecutive years, returned to Dodger Stadium on Wednesday to be officially inducted into the team's Ring of Honor alongside its 10 retired numbers. Current manager Dave Roberts brought Scully onto the field, before Hall of Famers Tommy Lasorda and Sandy Koufax unveiled his plaque on the park's left-field facade, which contained an old-fashioned microphone instead of a uniform number.

Scully is the first non-player to be inducted into the Ring of Honor.

The 89-year-old told the crowd a few stories in a brief acceptance speech, and was visibly moved by the honor. In typical Scully fashion, though, he still managed to downplay his career accomplishments, and his placement among the great figures in Dodger history.
"Just between you and me, and don't tell management," Scully said on the field, "I don't deserve to be up there with them."
You're more wrong than you'll ever know, Vin.
