Report: Bourn re-signing with Orioles on reworked contract

It appears as though Michael Bourn is going to stay a member of the Baltimore Orioles.

The free-agent outfielder, who was released by the Orioles on March 27, will re-sign with the club on a reworked contract, according to a source of ESPN's Jerry Crasnick.

A deal between the two sides could be complete in a day or two, Crasnick reports.

Bourn was in the mix for a spot as the team's fourth outfielder during spring training, but unfortunately broke his finger while throwing around a football during workouts.

The injury kept him from playing during spring camps, and ultimately led to his release.

Bourn appeared in 24 games for the Orioles last season after being acquired in a trade with the Arizona Diamondbacks. He hit .283/.358/.435 with eight RBIs and two steals during the stint.

Over the course of his 11-year career, the two-time All-Star owns a career slash line of .266/.329/.357 with 69 triples and 341 stolen bases. He's also won two Gold Gloves.
