Watch: Yankees' Gardner on the hunt for a wild Bird

New York Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner apparently moonlights as a big game hunter in his spare time.
Sneaking around the Yankees' spring training compound, Gardner tries to avoid being seen by his target. A wild (Greg) Bird in his natural habitat - the baseball diamond.
Bird has swung a hot bat this spring - slashing .447/.527/1.085 with seven home runs and 13 RBIs - and in the video above Gardner alludes to his return being long-awaited when he says, "no one has seen this species in over a year."
Gardner, Bird, and the Yankees open the regular season Sunday against the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field.
