The Arizona Diamondbacks released veteran pitcher Kevin Jepsen, the team announced Saturday.
A nine-year veteran in the majors, Jepsen had struggled with the Diamondbacks in spring training, allowing five earned runs on six hits (two home runs) in just 3 2/3 innings.
He split time in 2016 between the Minnesota Twins and Tampa Bay Rays before signing a minor-league deal with Arizona in February.
