Padres' Ryan Schimpf: Will play in minor-league game Monday

Schmipf (oblique) is scheduled to play in a minor-league game Monday, MLB.com's AJ Cassavell reports.

Analysis:

Schimpf has been sidelined with left oblique tightness in recent days, but after going through a full workout Sunday without complications, the Padres will have him tests things out in a game setting.
