Blasts like this won't hurt Cody Bellinger's chances of making the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The 21-year-old first baseman and top-ranked Dodgers prospect absolutely destroyed a pitch in the club's spring training matchup against the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday. It was Bellinger's first of the spring and also gave Dodgers fans a glimpse at what the power-hitting youngster offers at the dish.
Bellinger has combined to hit 56 home runs and 174 RBIs with a .533 slugging percentage the past two seasons in the minors. He's currently blocked by Adrian Gonzalez at first but is regarded as the Dodgers first baseman of the future and could see significant time in the majors as early as this season.
