Kenta Maeda is still putting in work during the offseason. You just wouldn't know it's him.
The Los Angeles Dodgers hurler returned to his native Japan recently and, along with a local television station, pranked some unsuspecting fans. After some lethargic warmups on the sidelines, a young Japanese team invited the sluggish "senior" to pitch to one of its batters.
Maeda promptly struck him out on three pitches and then revealed his true identity, allowing the poor kid to sleep a little easier that night.
