One of the most unique gifts David Ortiz received during his farewell season came from Adam Jones and the Baltimore Orioles, a present Jones himself wasn't impressed with.
"No, I didn’t really like that either," Jones told Evan Drellich of the Boston Herald.
Before Ortiz's final game at Camden Yards, the Orioles presented the legend with the busted-up dugout phone that Big Papi destroyed out of frustration during a game in 2013. The gift left Ortiz understandably confused and somewhat upset, eventually leading to Jones expressing similar sentiments.
"I think we could have done a little bit more. When I got to him, he had some choice words (about the phone)." Jones said. "If it was anybody else (presenting him the gift), I think he would’ve just been like 'I'm leaving this, OK?' But personally, I wanted to do something better. I think it was last minute."

Despite the gift rubbing some the wrong way, at least it was memorable, unlike the Toronto Blue Jays, who presented him with a Canada Goose jacket in the middle of the summer, or the Texas Rangers, who gave him cowboy boots.
Jones figures some delicious seafood would have made for a more than sufficient parting gift.
"I would have got him a bushel of crabs. We did that for (New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter). Everybody loves crabs in the Northeast, you know?"
