Reds' Ramon Cabrera: DFA'd by Reds
Cabrera was designated for assignment by the Reds on Monday.
Analysis:
Cabrera's second stint in the major leagues didn't go nearly as well as his first, as he could only muster a .246 batting average over the course of 171 at-bats. Because of this, the Reds decided to cede his 40-man roster spot to fellow catcher Juan Graterol, whom they claimed off waivers from the Angels. Unless another team claims him, Cabrera will likely spend 2017 in an organizational depth role.
