Dodgers' Gonzalez sends signed jersey to Japanese star Otani
Get used to seeing Shohei Otani's name in the news.
The Japanese, multi-positional phenom is on the radar of a lot of major-league teams - and, apparently, players - in hopes of swaying the 22-year-old to sign sooner rather than later.
Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez happens to be a big Otani fan, as evidenced by him sending the young star a signed Team Mexico jersey ahead of their matchup in the World Baseball Classic.
The inscription reads: "To Shohei, Looking forward to seeing you in the States."

Otani will be one of the most sought after - and expensive - international free agents ever, as his contract is said to be in the $300-million range. Not only has he recorded the fastest pitch in Japanese league history (102.5 MPH), he can also rip baseballs, recently hitting one off the Tokyo Dome roof.
