There's no reason to get angry, Clayton Kershaw.
After all, you did just pitch seven beautiful shutout innings at Wrigley Field.
But Javier Baez's very loud fly-out that nearly turned the Los Angeles Dodgers ace's outing - and, perhaps the entire NLCS - on its head was no laughing matter for Kershaw, despite the fact that it landed in center fielder Joc Pederson's glove.
The Cubs never threatened again, dropping Game 2 in a tightly contested 1-0 affair, squaring the series at one game apiece.
At his postgame press conference a reporter took the opportunity to ask Kershaw if he thought Baez had hit a home run - a query that the 28-year-old did not respond kindly too.
"That's your first frigging question?" Kershaw replied, game face still firmly in place. "Yeah, I did. I thought it was out for sure."
The lesson here: you come at Clayton with a fastball, you best not miss.
