Red Sox's Dustin Pedroia: Has minor knee surgery
Pedroia underwent minor surgery on his left knee and is expected to be ready for spring training, the Boston Globe's Pete Abraham reports.
Analysis:
He had a left knee arthroscopy (partial medial meniscectomy, chondroplasty) Thursday to treat an injury he suffered in mid-September. Pedroia had his best offensive season since 2011, finishing fourth in runs (105) and fifth in batting average (.318) among qualified second basemen.
