Washington Nationals switch-hitter Wilmer Difo had to make a little swap of his own Thursday afternoon right in the middle of his at-bat against Arizona Diamondbacks lefty Robbie Ray.
With the count at 1-1 in the bottom of the fourth, Difo called a timeout to go to the dugout and get the correct helmet for hitting right-handed.
There was no further confusion in the game for the 24-year-old infielder. In his next at-bat in the fifth inning, he crushed his first major-league homer to left field to extend the Nationals' lead to 5-1.
