White Sox's Tim Anderson: Homers in win over Rays
Anderson hit his eighth homer in a 3-for-5 game with two runs scored and three RBI Tuesday against the Rays.
Analysis:
The surprising pop Anderson showed early in his season had yet to show up in September. This was his first homer of the month and he entered Tuesday's game with just a .250/.289/.304 line in 23 September games. Anderson hasn't shown much plate discipline but he still owns a decent .278/.300/.411 line on the season, and if he can maintain this level of power then he'll have a future at shortstop for the White Sox.
