Watch: Cardinals' Adams botches basket catch, recovers nicely
MLB.com
When your catcher's instant reaction to your grab is to bend over in laughter, you know you either did something really stupid or really fascinating.
Thankfully for Matt Adams, he did the latter.
As Cincinnati Reds outfielder Adam Duvall drilled a popup a mile high in the third inning Monday, Adams chugged all the way from first to help bail out his backstop Yadier Molina who lost track of the ball in foul territory. Except, Adams nearly blew the catch too, as he bobbled it before saving himself with a swift recovery.
Just like he drew it up.
