Angels' Jered Weaver: Picks up 10th win against Reds
Weaver (10-11) allowed two runs on eight hits and struck out five over 6.1 innings in a win Tuesday over the Reds.
Analysis:
Somehow, Weaver continues to find ways to win despite a fastball that tops out in the mid-80s. His five strikeouts Tuesday represent his best mark since he struck out five July 6 against the Rays. Still, Weaver has given up a ridiculous 187 hits and 32 home runs in just 150.1 innings. Cincinnati's lineup is one of baseball's weakest right now, and Weaver shouldn't be expected to repeat this performance against a superior team.
