Mets' minor-league team throwing '90s Nickelodeon Night
At the core of everything good in the '90s, there was Nickelodeon, and that's why the Brooklyn Cyclones' 1990s-themed night on Aug. 10 is going to dominate. "Happy happy joy joy" indeed.
The New York Mets affiliate in the New York-Penn League will don the blue-nosed Stimpy from Nickelodeon's "The Ren & Stimpy Show" on their jerseys, while the visiting Vermont Lake Monsters (the Oakland A's affiliate) will wear the scrawny Chihuahua Ren's face across theirs. Select fans will receive a bobblehead pair of the two characters.

"The Ren & Stimpy Show" ran from 1991-95. Not a single player on either roster was alive in 1991.
In June, the Frederick Keys and Lynchburg Hillcats faced off for a Nickelodeon-themed night wearing "Hey Arnold!" jerseys.
