Hall of Fame catcher Mike Piazza had his number retired by the New York Mets at Citi Field on Saturday, and the franchise made sure to reward one of the team's greatest players of recent memory with an amazing entrance video prior to the ceremony.

The beginning of the video, which featured Piazza lovingly tapping the home plate once used at Shea Stadium before walking towards Citi Field to the sweet sounds of Motley Crue's "Home Sweet Home," was a warming touch, that most certainly tugged at heart strings of fans everywhere.

Piazza was officially inducted into baseball's Hall of Fame, along with Ken Griffey Jr., earlier this week.

The 47-year-old ended his 16-year playing career in 2007 after amassing 427 home runs, 1,335 RBIs, and a career OPS of .922.
