Andrew Cashner's new home with the Miami Marlins forced the hard-throwing right-hander to wear a different look Saturday when he arrived at Marlins Park.

Cashner, who sported a pretty hefty beard before coming to the Marlins in a trade with the San Diego Padres on Friday, was forced to remove his facial hair because of a Marlins policy that forbids players from wearing it.

The Marlins adopted the policy after hiring Don Mattingly this past October.

Miami allowed players to have beards the previous two seasons, and the Los Angeles Dodgers allowed facial hair under Mattingly.
