Blue Jays' Edwin Encarnacion: In middle of three-homer first-inning barrage Friday
Encarnacion went 2-for-3 with a double, a solo homer, a walk and two runs in Friday's 6-5 victory over the Orioles.
Analysis:
The veteran slugger continued his steady march toward the century mark in RBI with a 416-foot solo shot in the first and added a two-bagger later in the game for his second multi-hit effort in the last three contests. Encarnacion hasn't been able to approximate his 30-RBI June this month, but is still slashing a solid .282/.352/.603 over 78 at-bats.
