Mets' Jose Reyes: Ruled out through Friday
Reyes (intercostal strain) has been ruled out Thursday and Friday, The Record's Matt Ehalt reports.
Analysis:
Manager Terry Collins noted that having the DH for the Mets' games at the Yankees and at the Tigers next week is a consideration for not placing Reyes on the disabled list, MLB.com's Anthony DiComo reports. This makes it sound as though Reyes could be held out through Tuesday, as the Mets don't travel to Yankee Stadium until Wednesday, although at this point he has only been ruled out for the next two games. Wilmer Flores is starting at third base and hitting third Thursday.
