Indians' Corey Kluber: Looks strong in no-decision Sunday
Kluber (9-8) gave up three runs on six hits and a walk over seven innings Sunday while striking out eight, but came away with a no-decision in a 5-3 loss to the Orioles.
Analysis:
He was in line for the loss before Cleveland scored a run in eighth inning to tie it, only for Cody Allen to serve up a walkoff homer in the bottom of the ninth. Kluber showed no ill effects from the calf cramping that ended his last start, throwing 67 of 101 pitches for strikes and generating an impressive 20 swinging strikes. He should be safe to use next Sunday, when the Indians host the A's.
