Detroit Tigers star Miguel Cabrera made another addendum to his Hall of Fame resume Friday at U.S. Cellular Field, driving in the 1,500th and 1,501st runs of his career with a two-run single against the Chicago White Sox to become the fastest player in MLB history to record 400 homers and 1,500 RBIs.
Cabrera, the two-time American League MVP who turned 33 in April, accomplished the feat in 2,034 career games, and is the sixth active player to reach both those milestones, joining Alex Rodriguez, Albert Pujols, David Ortiz, Adrian Beltre, and Carlos Beltran.
