Arrieta has credited the use of Pilates as one of the reasons for his great fitness as well as part of the reason for his career turn-around.
After four awful seasons for the Baltimore Orioles to begin his career, which included a demotion to the minors, Arrieta owns a 48-15 record with a 2.23 ERA in 83 starts for the Cubs.
