Chicago Cubs right-hander John Lackey was cruising Thursday against the New York Mets at Citi Field until a poorly located fastball to Yoenis Cespedes, who annihilated the offering into the third deck.
When the ball eventually landed, the shot was projected to travel 441 feet with an exit velocity of 100 mph, which stands at the longest home run by a Mets player this season.
The long ball was the 19th of the year for the Cuban slugger, putting him three back of Kris Bryant - who homered earlier in the contest - for the National League lead.
