Yankees' Carlos Beltran: Leaves game with hamstring injury
Beltran (hamstring) left Tuesday's game after pulling up as he rounded first base in the first inning of the contest against the Rangers, Brendan Kuty of the NJ Advance Media reports.
Analysis:
Beltran exited the field while clutching his hamstring, and was replaced by Rob Refsnyder after reaching base on a single. The 39-year-old could end up spending time on the disabled list if the injury causes him to miss extended time. Beltran recently had his knee drained two weeks ago, but had been relatively healthy besides that sore left knee which has allowed him to have one of his best years during the first half of this season. If he does end up missing time, the Yankees could call up outfielder prospect Aaron Judge from Triple-A Scranton-Wilkes/Barre.
