Red Sox's Pat Light: Recalled from Pawtucket
Light was recalled from Triple-A Pawtucket on Tuesday, Pete Abraham of the Boston Globe reports.
Analysis:
Light will take the roster spot formerly held by Eduardo Rodriguez, who was optioned to the minors after giving up nine runs in Monday's start. Although the Red Sox lack an obvious solution in the rotation, Light could help stabilize a struggling bullpen, as he hasn't allowed a run for Pawtucket since May 17, recording 13 strikeouts and four saves over 12 innings since that date.
