Tigers' Anibal Sanchez: May get another start this week
Sanchez is an option to make another start later this week in Tampa Bay, reports MLive.com.
Analysis:
Manager Brad Ausmus was non-committal, but is clearly throwing pitchers against the proverbial wall of late just to see what sticks. Sanchez gave up four earned runs on five hits, two walks and three strikeouts Saturday in five innings in a 6-0 loss to Cleveland on Saturday. The juggling is being done to slow down the white-hot rookie Michael Fulmer, who has tossed 62.2 innings of his likely 160 max this season. Sanchez didn't embarrass himself Saturday, but he didn't impress, so don't leap back on board ... yet.
