Rays' Matt Andriese: Has rough outing in tune-up for start
Andriese gave up three hits and two earned runs over 1.2 innings in Wednesday's 6-1 loss to the Indians. He also struck out a batter.
Analysis:
The 26-year-old had a rocky 36-pitch tune-up for his upcoming Saturday spot start versus the Orioles, his first poor performance since being moved to the bullpen. Andriese gave up an RBI single to Carlos Santana that plated Tyler Naquin, and then saw Santana come home courtesy of a Francisco Lindor sacrifice fly. The right-hander had fired 3.2 scoreless frames over a pair of relief appearances prior to Wednesday.
