Brewers' Jeremy Jeffress: Has eye infection, was unavailable Wednesday
Jeffress (eye) was not available to earn the save Wednesday against the A's due to an eye infection, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Analysis:
The Brewers collected a 4-2 victory over Oakland on Wednesday as Tyler Thornburg notched his second save of the year since Jeffress was unavailable to pitch. Manager Craig Counsell said that he wanted to keep Jeffress out of this game but that he should be good to return by their next contest Friday.
