Athletics' Billy Burns: To bat ninth Tuesday against Tyler Duffer
Burns will start in center field and bat ninth Tuesday against the Twins, Jane Lee of MLB.com reports.
Analysis:
Burns was out of the lineup Tuesday for a day of rest following eight consecutive starts. Coco Crisp will move back to left field, and Khris Davis will move back into the designated hitter spot, pushing Billy Butler out of the lineup. The 26-year-old outfielder will face right-hander Tyler Duffey (3.93 ERA, 1.31 WHIP) for the first time in his career. Burns has slashed .263/.300/.316 against righties so far in 2016.
