Orioles' Darren O'Day: Escapes tough jam Sunday
O'Day entered Sunday's game against the Indians in the eighth inning with runners on second-and-third and no outs and was able to prevent the tying run from scoring.
Analysis:
He retired one batter on a groundout and then recorded two strikeouts after an intentional walk to escape the jam left by fellow reliever Brad Brach. O'Day hasn't been in his best form recently, but he recorded the true essence of a hold, his ninth of the season, in this outing.
