Marlins' Tom Koehler: Wins with quality start versus Braves
Koehler won his third game of the season Sunday versus the Braves, allowing just three runs (two earned) with two strikeouts across seven strong innings.
Analysis:
Koehler allowed just three hits Sunday, but he did issue five walks for the fourth consecutive outing, elevating his pitch count and leading to his removal after failing to retire a batter in the eighth inning. He lowered his ERA on the season to 4.50, but one would think his 20:16 BB:K in the last four starts will catch up to him if he continues to issue free passes at this rate. He will look to get back on track in that regard Friday against the Mets.
